Privacy policy

How we handle your information

This policy describes how Wellspring Lactation LLC ("Wellspring Lactation," "Wellspring," or "we") collects and uses personally identifiable information (PII) through our website, through electronic communication such as text and email, and in connection with our consulting services. It also describes our commitment to protecting your privacy and how we honor that commitment.

Last updated 2026. If you don't agree with this policy, please don't use our website.

Health information is covered separately

This policy applies to information we collect through this site. It does not apply to information collected over the phone or in person. Anything that constitutes protected health information (PHI) is protected under our HIPAA Notice of Privacy Practices, which explains your rights and our legal duties regarding your PHI. Where the two conflict, the Notice of Privacy Practices governs.

Read our Notice of Privacy Practices

What we collect

Form submissions — including feedback about our website or services. PII means information such as your first and last name, email, home or business address and phone number.

Website usage information — time of visit, referring pages, traffic data, logs, internet connection and the equipment used to reach the site.

IP addresses — collected for traffic analysis. They identify general geographic location, internet service provider, operating system and browser, not your identity. We do not sell or share this information; we use it to administer and improve the site.

Mobile device information — device identifier, user settings, operating system and usage patterns, including location if you've enabled location services. You can disable that on your device.

How we collect it

From you. You can browse our site without giving us any PII. Anything we receive comes from a form you chose to submit or an email you chose to send.

Automatically. Information about your navigation, device, internet connection and browsing activity is collected through automated data collection technologies.

From third parties. We may receive information about you from our business partners.

Cookies and advertising

A cookie is a small data file a website stores on your device. The only PII a cookie can hold is what you yourself supplied for that site. We may use cookies to understand usage patterns and improve how the site works. Some are essential — they keep pages and the booking form working. Others are analytics and advertising cookies, such as Google Analytics and, in the future, the Meta (Facebook) pixel, which help us see how families find us. Those load only after you accept them in the cookie banner, and you can change your choice at any time by clearing this site's data in your browser.

You can set your browser to warn you before accepting cookies or refuse them entirely — you do not need to accept cookies to use our website. Because opt-outs are specific to each browser and device, you'll need to set them everywhere you browse. Privacy-focused browsers and plug-ins can block third-party trackers as well.

Third-party advertisers and service providers may set their own cookies; this policy covers only ours. Google and Facebook both offer opt-outs for interest-based advertising. Some browsers broadcast a "Do Not Track" signal — at this time we do not honor such signals and do not change what we collect based on them.

How we use your information

Most disclosures are governed by our Notice of Privacy Practices. Where information isn't PHI, it remains subject to confidentiality and privacy restrictions. We may use your information to present the website to you; to provide information, products or services you request; to process and administer transactions; to send notices about your Wellspring account; to respond to a request; to fulfill the purpose you provided it for; to carry out our obligations and enforce our rights under any contract between us; to notify you of changes to the site or our services; to advertise our services; to create anonymous data for analytics; and for any other purpose with your consent.

You can opt out of these communications at any time using the unsubscribe link at the bottom of them.

How we disclose it

Service providers. We may share PII with third parties who help administer our service, solely to perform that work for us. They are directly obligated not to use or disclose your PII or PHI for anything else.

Non-identified information. We may share non-identifying information with third parties for research, demographic analysis and quality improvement.

Third-party sites. Our website may link to sites we don't own or operate. We encourage you to read their privacy policies; we hold no responsibility for their content, privacy or security.

Business transactions. In a merger, acquisition or asset sale, your PII may transfer as a business asset to the acquiring party.

Legal compliance and protection. We cooperate lawfully with government and law enforcement and may disclose information where we believe it necessary to enforce our terms, respond to legal process, protect the rights, property and safety of Wellspring, our clients or the public, stop illegal activity, reduce fraud and credit risk, or as required by applicable law.

The purpose you gave it for. For example, we may disclose your information to a provider pursuant to your authorization, where an authorization is required.

Your account, and security

You can review and change your password in the client portal, or email us at info@wellspringlactation.com to update your account information or correct any PII.

Sharing information over the internet carries inherent risk. We use encryption to send and receive PII and PHI, but we cannot guarantee the security of information transmitted to our website, and any transmission is at your own risk. We're not responsible for the circumvention of privacy settings or security measures on the site or in your operating system. We ask that you protect your password and not share it with anyone.

Children

Our website and services are not intended to attract, target or solicit information from children under 16. Any PII unintentionally obtained from a child under 16 is deleted from our files immediately. We may collect information from parents or legal guardians about children under 16 for whom services are being requested.

Changes to this policy

We may amend this policy as new features are added to the site and service; changes are reflected in the date above. If we substantially change how we use your PII, we'll post notice on the website. We encourage you to read this policy whenever you visit.

Questions or comments about how we use your information? Email info@wellspringlactation.com — we're glad to help. You can also read our website terms and conditions.
